ndonesia is set to contribute US$1 million to support scientific development in Southeast Asia, a research ministry official said on Friday at a high-level ASEAN meeting on science in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar.
Research, Technology and Higher Education Ministry secretary-general Ainun Naim said the $1 million fund could be used for a variety of activities, such as capacity-building workshops, training, and joint programs on innovative research.
Ainun represented Indonesia at the 17th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Science and Technology (AMMST-17), which aims to outline policies based on the 2016-2025 ASEAN Plan of Action on Science, Technology and Innovation (APASTI).
