SPRUCE UP YOUR SPACE: RI Home Show

APR. 10–13: The largest home improvement show in Southern New England boasts hundreds of exhibitors with trends, services and ideas on home improvement, remodeling, design and landscaping. EASTER FUN: Easter Egg Hunt

APR. 12: Hop on over to Martinelli’s Farm for its annual Easter egg hunt! This fun-filled day of seasonal activities is guaranteed to be a good time for everyone in the family. EARTH DAY: Party for the Planet

APR. 16–17: Celebrate Earth Day and learn how to protect the planet at Roger Williams Park Zoo. DUCK, DUCK…LOOSE!: Pawcatuck River Duck Race

APR. 26: Don’t miss this unique tradition where 20,000 rubber ducks will be released into the Pawcatuck River on the Westerly border to support local schools, nonprofits and local charities. Purchase a duck and corresponding “Duck Sponsorship Certificate” and watch as your little rubber friend races towards the finish line. Golden Hour Geology Hike

APR. 17: Hiking fanatics will show seismic enthusiasm for Norman Bird Sanctuary’s Golden Hour Geology Hike. Learn about the geology of the region along Hanging Rock Ridge, hear about recent glacial activity in New England and about the formation of Paradise Valley. The hike features a panoramic view of the ocean, Gardiner Pond and Narragansett Bay. Food Truck Friday at Roger Williams Park

STARTING APR. 18: Chow down on a wide variety of eats from more than fifteen food trucks at Food Truck Friday! APR. 26: The notable Providence street festival comes back to Wickenden Street this spring. While hosting more than fifty local vendors, the Makers Market is a pet-and family-friendly festival of community talent. THROUGH MAY 6: This functional art exhibit, “Without You (I’m Just an Empty Shell)” by artist Andrea Spiridonakos features a functional art piece based on the shell shape of a Newport oyster species.
